Job summary

A leading maintenance contractor in the UK seeks a Mechanical Supervisor for a position in Ealing, West London. You will oversee a team of engineers in managing all mechanical maintenance, with an emphasis on planned preventative maintenance (PPM). The role requires strong compliance and health & safety knowledge, and the ideal candidate will have relevant mechanical qualifications alongside supervisory experience. This position involves collaboration across multiple sites, ensuring all maintenance activities meet service levels and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising engineering staff and managing mechanical maintenance activities.
• Ability to manage both reactive and planned maintenance (PPM).
• Experience in liaising with clients and internal teams for effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical reactive and planned maintenance activities to meet service level agreements.
• Monitor and update CAFM systems, ensuring data integrity.
• Lead audits and inspections of mechanical assets.
• Coordinate and supervise mechanical subcontractors ensuring safety standards.
• Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota to maintain service continuity.

Skills

Strong background working with mechanical systems

Excellent communication and client-facing skills

Strong compliance and health & safety understanding

Experience within a commercial hard services FM environment

Education

Mechanically qualified to C&G / NVQ / HNC / HND level
