A leading heavy engineering manufacturer based in Birmingham is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a day shift role. The position involves hands-on mechanical maintenance, leading TPM and PPM activities, and providing support in a high-performing industrial environment. Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a medium or heavy industrial maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out hands-on mechanical maintenance across production lines.
  • Lead TPM and PPM activities to maximise equipment performance.
  • Act as the main maintenance contact for production operations.
  • Respond to breakdowns, conducting fault-finding and root cause analysis.
  • Drive reliability improvements and support optimization projects.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams.
  • Manage spare parts inventory.
  • Provide guidance to apprentices and junior engineers.
  • Support machinery upgrades and plant expansion.
  • Maintain adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
