Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a market-leading manufacturer in Leeds. The role involves ensuring the smooth operation of the production facility through planned and reactive maintenance activities.

The successful candidate will report directly to the engineering manager and will be involved in all aspects of maintenance, including machine breakdowns, sensors, drives, relays, inverters, conveyors, bearings, belts, and chains. The position offers opportunities for progressive training and development within a supportive team environment.

Role Responsibilities

• Providing reactive and preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Responding to machine breakdowns
• Maintaining sensors, drives, relays, inverters, conveyors, bearings, belts, and chains
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations on site

Skills and Qualifications

• Maintenance experience
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
• HNC qualification or equivalent (essential)
