Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join our team on a night shift basis, supporting the inspection of internally and externally manufactured machined components. This is a fixed-term contract role until the end of April 2026, offering the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-performance motorsport environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring components meet the highest quality standards

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out quality control and inspection activities on internally and externally manufactured metallic component.
  • Ensure all components meet specified drawing, dimensional, and quality requirements.
  • Work collaboratively across the supply chain to promote best practice and continuous improvement in Quality Assurance.
  • Operate a range of inspection equipment including CMMs, absolute arms, shadowgraphs, contour tracers, and handheld measuring tools.
  • Read and interpret complex technical drawings.
  • Accurately record inspection results using MRP/ERP systems.
  • Proactively participate in meetings and support production schedules.
  • Maintain and develop inspection and manufacturing process knowledge to industry standards.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties aligned with the role.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Inspector within Formula One or high-level motorsport is highly desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven experience using PC-DMIS and PolyWorks metrology software.
  • Hands-on experience with CMMs and advanced measurement equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical and engineering drawings.
  • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g. IFS, SAP, or similar).
  • Competent user of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Calm, confident, and effective under pressure, with the ability to meet demanding deadlines.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including night shift working.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-focused mindset.
  • Results-driven with confident decision-making ability.
  • Enthusiastic, adaptable, and able to build effective working relationships.
  • Clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety standards.
