Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Van or Car Allowance

Location: Hybrid London (1 day per week)

Are you an experienced Mechanical/HVAC Project Engineer or Supervisor looking for your next career step? Our client, a well-established HVAC maintenance and installation company, is expanding their projects team and seeking a motivated Mechanical HVAC Project Engineer to work directly under the Project Manager, acting as his number two. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong hands‑on installation or project experience who's ready to step up into a more senior, client-facing, and commercially involved engineering role.

The Role:

As the Mechanical HVAC Project Engineer, you will support the Project Manager in delivering a variety of mechanical and HVAC upgrade projects across commercial sites. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting site surveys, taking measurements, site access etc.
• Preparing quotations and supporting tender processes
• Monitoring project progress and ensuring work aligns with quality and safety standards
• Assisting with project planning, scheduling, and coordination
• Liaising with clients, engineers, and subcontractors
• Ensuring compliance across installation and upgrade works

Projects typically include plant room upgrades, boiler replacements, calorifier installations, pipework modifications, and chiller replacements, with values up to £500k.

What We're Looking For:

• Current or previous experience as a Project Engineer, Mechanical Supervisor, HVAC Installer, or similar
• Strong background in installing mechanical and HVAC plant
• Ability to read drawings, measure up, and assess site requirements
• Understanding of commercial HVAC systems and plant room equipment
• Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
• Ambitious, proactive, and ready to grow into a more senior technical/project role
