Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter with a strong background in industrial machinery maintenance. This role is ideal for mechanically qualified technicians who thrive in high-pressure environments and are experienced in handling complex mechanical systems for various industrial machines used in industries such as FMCG, medical, automotive, and aerospace.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Responsible for the mechanical fitting, assembly, and installation on a variety of machines and components
  • Maintain mechanical pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for industrial production and processing systems.
  • Responsible for the Mechanical assembly and maintenance of industrial machines, involving a variety of machines.
  • Work as part of a small team to meet tight deadlines.
  • Read and understand complex mechanical schematics to ensure accurate installation and functionality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Mechanical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering).
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, particularly in an industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
  • Ability to interpret and follow mechanical diagrams.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
