Overview

Mechanical Fitter. Location: Near Uxbridge, West London. Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum. Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:45pm, Friday 8:00am - 12:00pm. Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time. We are hiring for a precision-driven Mechanical Fitter to join a globally recognised aerospace manufacturing business near Uxbridge. This is a hands-on role in the Fitting Shop where you\'ll build detailed mechanical assemblies for safety-critical equipment used in military and defence applications. Mechanical Fitter Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed bench fitting and mechanical build of aerospace assemblies
• Install a wide range of threaded inserts and locking pins
• Perform jig drilling, taper reaming, thread locking and crimping operations
• Carry out manual riveting techniques as well as orbital and spin riveting processes
• Assemble cables, hoses, firing handles and gun systems using hand tools
• Read and follow engineering drawings and build plans accurately
• Conduct quality checks and complete documentation for each build
• Follow health & safety protocols and contribute to 5S and lean improvement initiatives

What We\'re Looking For

• Mechanical assembly or bench fitting background
• Confident with precision tools and techniques (e.g. riveting, reaming, crimping, drilling)
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Basic computer skills (SAP experience desirable)
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical working style
• A team player who takes pride in doing the job right first time
