We are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer with experience in AutoDesk Inventor and the full project lifecycle.

Amentum is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the Programme and Project Partners (PPP). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver £7bn of major projects. The Nuclear team provides front-end design and engineering capability across the PPP portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate engineering and design activities.
  • Develop and implement engineering solutions for complex projects from concept design through to design for manufacture and the full project life cycle.
  • Identify design, statutory and regulatory requirements and contribute to risk assessments.
  • Produce technical reports, technical specifications and scoping calculations.
  • Review technical deliverables, including reports and drawings.
  • Present engineering solutions to stakeholders as part of design reviews.
Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (HNC/HND with significant experience).
  • Attained or working towards chartered or incorporated status with a recognised professional body (IMechE).
  • Experience in highly regulated environments.
