Overview

Job Location: Near Wyke Regis, Dorset

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Depending on level of experience, £30,000 - £40,000 per annum

Overtime: Overtime when available is paid at premium rates (x1.5 and x2)

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

A leading specialist mechanical engineering company with a strong industry reputation is recruiting for an Industrial Engineer to join the business.

Responsibilities
  • Work on a range of industrial equipment, including roller doors, lifting equipment, plant equipment and industrial machines.
  • Undertake a varied workload, including repairs, servicing and breakdowns in the workshop or at customer premises.
  • Become the first port of call for clients due to broad skills and experience in fixing equipment.
  • Contribute to problem solving and finding solutions to equipment faults.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience with mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic equipment.
  • Formal qualifications are advantageous but not essential (e.g., City & Guilds / NVQ or HNC / HND in relevant engineering).
  • Able to identify and implement solutions to equipment problems.
  • Driving licence is essential.
Additional Information

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday (flexibility required due to the nature of the business)
