Mechanical Engineer – £42,000 Basic Salary

Location: Liverpool Street, City of London

Hours: Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm

Employment Type: Full‑Time, Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join a well‑established on‑site team of three engineers at a prestigious commercial site in the City of London. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to take the next step in their career, with strong prospects for training, development and long‑term progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out mechanical maintenance, PPM and reactive tasks across the site
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Work closely with the on‑site engineering team to maintain high service standards
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations
  • Support site operations during callouts and overtime when required
Package & Benefits
  • £42,000 basic salary
  • Lots of overtime available (paid at x1.5)
  • Call‑out rota: 1 in 3 weeks (£100 standby)
