A leading water utility company in Surrey Heath is seeking an Electrical and Mechanical Technician. The candidate will perform maintenance on sewage pumping stations, requiring multi-skilled experience in electrical and mechanical systems. This role involves participating in an emergency standby rota and offers a competitive salary up to £45,000 with potential earnings from overtime. We have an exciting opportunity for a career-minded individual to join our Esher team as an Electrical and Mechanical Technician. Your role will be to perform a range of assigned front-line maintenance/operational activities on our sewage pumping stations in the Esher, Surrey area.
This will include planned and preventative maintenance of sewage pumping stations to support the operation of our assets.
On a day-to-day basis, you will receive your “workload” and will also be answering emergency alarms. You will be working as part of a team but may also be alone, which highlights the importance of our high health and safety standards.
The role also requires you to take part in a 1 week in every 6 weeks out-of-hours emergency standby rota, for which you receive additional payments.
Base Location - Esher - Surrey - KT10 8AU.
Working hours - 38 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am -3:36 pm.
You must have previous experience in an electrical apprenticeship, ONC/HNC in engineering, NVQ, or C&G level 3 in Electrical engineering, with an upskill in mechanical NVQ2/3 is crucial.
