Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Leeds

Salary : £38,000 - £50,000 DOE

A multi-disciplinary company in Leeds is seeking a motivated and eager Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects across multiple sectors, gaining valuable experience to progress your career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce coordinated designs in collaboration with colleagues across other engineering disciplines
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current industry regulations, standards, and best practice
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers
  • Contribute to the development of project design strategies
  • Carry out reviews of documents, designs, and drawings
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, design teams, contractors, and colleagues at all levels
  • Lead small multi-disciplinary teams to support successful project delivery
  • Attend client, design, and project meetings as required
  • Conduct feasibility studies and site surveys
  • Prepare load calculations and manage applications for utility connections
  • Produce detailed mechanical services designs
