Mechanical Design Engineer

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to work on complex electromechanical systems for hazardous environments? Join a growing engineering team that values creativity, collaboration, and technical excellence.

This role offers the opportunity to be involved in the full product development lifecycle from initial concept and prototyping through to testing and final production. Youll work across multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, precision-engineered solutions, with a focus on performance, safety, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer

• Lead or contribute to mechanical design projects from concept through to manufacture
• Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using 3D CAD- Ideally Solidworks
• Produce and maintain BOMs, technical documentation, and assembly instructions
• Design for manufacture using a range of techniques including sheet metal fabrication and CNC machining
• Perform stress analysis, tolerance stack-ups, and materials selection
• Liaise with suppliers and production teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness
• Participate in prototype builds, testing, and validation activities
