Job description

A well-established motorhome dealership is seeking a fully qualified Mechanic to join its workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialised sector, offering stable hours, overtime at enhanced rates, and further training opportunities.

Working Hours

• Monday-Friday: 8:00am-4:30pm (40 hours per week including breaks)
• Saturday mornings: 8:30am-12:30pm on a 1-in-3 rota
• Overtime available at time and a half (weekdays and Saturdays)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-delivery inspections on the mechanical elements of motorhomes
• Perform a range of mechanical repairs
• Complete small and large engine servicing
• Carry out air-conditioning re-gassing (training provided if not already qualified)
• Undertake fault finding and diagnostics
• Work across common van platforms (Fiat, Peugeot, Ford Transit preferred but not essential)

Candidate Requirements

• Fully qualified Mechanic with recognised certification (ESSENTIAL)
• Experience with vans or light commercial vehicles beneficial
• Motorhome/caravan industry experience advantageous but not required
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
