Overview

An exciting opportunity for a Multi Disciplinary Coordinator to join the Cancer Service Office. The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to proactively manage the patient pathway from referral to discharge. They will be the point of contact for administrative issues relating to the patient pathway, working alongside consultants, cancer nurse specialists and Trusts.

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust provides hospital and community services from a number of clinics across Croydon. The Trust aims to deliver high-quality care across settings and to support staff development.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the patient pathway from referral to discharge as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the Cancer Service Office.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for administrative issues related to patients’ pathways of care, and work with consultants, cancer nurse specialists and Trusts.
  • Track the progress of cancer patients through care services (e.g., Radiology and Pathology) and core services (e.g., Health Records).
  • Coordinate Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings to facilitate care and core services.
  • Provide administrative support to MDT meetings, ensuring relevant information is available to enable clinical decisions and that records reflect evidence-based protocols.
