Location: UK (Hybrid/Remote/Office) | Travel: 30% within EMEA | Security Clearance: SC required (prioritise holders)

Position Summary

Maximo Consultant II joins our team to align with business and IT stakeholders and translate business issues and requirements into best‑practice processes, blueprints, and functional specifications. The role is responsible for working on complex challenges to ensure deliverable quality and effective communication between technical implementation teams while advising clients on their asset management or EAM system maturity.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance throughout the lifecycle of a project, including development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Configure and customize client solutions, applying knowledge of workflows, system configuration, and customisations to develop asset management technical solutions.
  • Deliver multiple projects that support complex and demanding requirements, ensuring timescales are met.
  • Facilitate and document system design workshops, process reengineering workshops, and create project/system documentation, including process maps, system requirements, data standards, and training materials.
  • Advocate for the end‑user within the project delivery team.
  • Coordinate data modelling and data collection activities.
  • Oversee development, testing, and deployment of technical solutions.
  • Manage smaller work packages as set by the Consultant Team Lead.
  • Provide client support and training.
  • Deliver high‑quality, value‑added results for both client and internal projects.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or relevant training and/or experience.
  • Appropriate professional software accreditations (e.g., IBM Maximo professional certifications).
  • 3+ years of experience delivering projects in Maximo across multiple industries.
  • Experience managing 2+ high‑value or long‑term projects using diverse methodologies.
  • Experience providing support to customers or end users.
  • Knowledge of project methodologies (Agile and Waterfall) is advantageous.
  • Understanding of databases (DB2, Oracle, MSSQL).
  • Experience with BIRT report writing.
  • Understanding of IT systems and cloud hosting platforms (AWS, Azure).
