A personal care service provider in the United Kingdom is looking for female Personal Assistants to support during fluctuating health conditions. Responsibilities include personal care, medication administration, and companionship. Candidates must have communication skills, a valid driver's license, and a comfort with pets. This role offers flexibility and is paid at £13 to £15.60 per hour, with a guaranteed contract of 40 hours per month.
I would like to recruit a couple of PAs for 40 hours spread over a 4 week period starting from mid-March onwards to alternate with 2 PAs already in post. These hours will mostly be required Monday to Friday between 10am and 6pm although some holiday and sickness cover may be required. They can be mutually flexible and will be arranged in advance.
A permanent contract with a guaranteed 40 hours per month; DBS check if not already completed; the opportunity for a PA to attend a BSL course with me if they wish to enhance their skill set; training in oxygen and medicine administration; the opportunity to learn about Italian culture, language and food and to practise the Italian language if already a student/speaker and/or interested; free entry to National Trust properties and gardens and the cinema when accompanying me.
The days and times can be flexible to suit both parties and accommodate the 2 PAs already in post. Support mostly required between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm Monday to Friday but some weekends may be needed to cover annual leave which you will be notified of well in advance. Support will be required for a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 6 hours per working day.
Yes
The type and level of support will depend on my fluctuating health conditions but will include alternating with the 2 PAs I already have to support me with: Personal care and incontinence; medication ordering and administration; use of home and ambulatory oxygen; making and receiving telephone calls; batch cooking and meal preparation; housework and laundry; caring for my cat; grocery shopping; spending time in the garden; attending appointments; companionship; accessing the community and social occasions; going for walks; days out; generally making the most of my good days and minimising the impact of bad days in terms of my health.
