Maths Tutor – Adult Learners (Alternative Provision)

Location: Maidstone | Hours: 34 per week | Status: Permanent

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Maths tuition to adult learners in an alternative provision setting
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
  • Support learner progress, confidence, and qualification achievement
  • Track attendance, progress, and outcomes in line with provider requirements
  • Create a supportive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
  • Work closely with support staff and wider education teams
  • Maintain safeguarding and compliance standards at all times
Candidate Profile
  • Experience teaching Maths to adult learners
  • Confident delivering Functional Skills and/or GCSE Maths
  • Background in alternative provision, FE, or adult education (desirable)
  • Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills
  • Empathetic, flexible, and learner-focused approach
  • Teaching qualification preferred but not essential
