Maths Teacher – Special School – Birmingham

Are you a Maths Teacher who loves helping learners grow in confidence? Do you enjoy teaching small classes where every lesson makes a real difference? A warm and welcoming special school in Birmingham is looking for a dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team, teaching small groups of students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

As a Maths Teacher in this school, you will teach classes of no more than 8 students, supported by experienced Teaching Assistants who help ensure every learner receives the attention, encouragement, and structure they need. The school has a calm atmosphere, strong leadership, and a commitment to providing an enriching and engaging curriculum tailored to each student’s needs. This role requires a QTS Maths Teacher who is patient, creative, and passionate about SEN education.

Job Role
  • Teaching maths to small classes of students with a range of special educational needs
  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons that build confidence and understanding
  • Creating an engaging and supportive learning environment
  • Working closely with a skilled team of Teaching Assistants
