A specialized education recruitment agency is seeking dedicated Maths and Science SEMH Teachers for a special school in Bath. These full-time roles are aimed at supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, aiming for GCSE-level teaching. Ideal candidates should hold QTS and have experience with SEMH students or feel confident handling challenging behaviours. The school offers a supportive team environment with opportunities for permanent roles and various employment rights.
We're working closely with a brilliant special school on the outskirts of Bath that is looking for a Maths teacher & Science Teacher to teach up to GCSE level. These roles are both full-time teaching posts where you will have full teaching responsibilities.
Having placed a number of candidates in the school over the years, I can confidently say how tight knit and welcoming a team they are. They support students with a range of needs but are primarily focused around Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs. These students will often come from fairly traumatic backgrounds, this work can be incredibly rewarding.
Both of these roles are full teaching posts where you will be expected to have experience planning and marking lessons in Maths or Science. You will be mostly teaching students aged 13-16.
Ideally the successful candidate would hold a QTS and you will feel confident in teaching Maths or Science to GCSE level. Due to the needs of the students you would ideally have worked with SEMH students before; they are open to applications from mainstream teachers who feel confident in dealing with challenging behaviour.
