Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Background in materials research, materials science, and engineering, particularly in composite materials.
  • Experience with composites, specifically carbon fibre composites processing and testing.
  • Experience with additive manufacturing in aluminium/stainless steel.
  • Understanding of composite materials processing and metallic additive manufacturing.
  • Experience in composite methods.
  • Knowledge of composite materials applied to space and aerospace applications.
  • Ability to write technical documents.

Desired Skills

  • Background in high-temperature materials or hypersonics materials.
  • Experience in lab-based materials development and testing.
  • Understanding of phenolic resin processing, properties, and chemistry.
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 Quality system.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of destructive and non-destructive inspection techniques.
