Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Material QC Inspector for the ENI Liverpool Bay Project, located in Talacre. The role involves executing inspections and quality control on incoming materials and equipment to ensure compliance with project specifications. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in material control activities within the Oil & Gas industry, alongside a relevant degree or diploma. This full-time contractor role offers a flexible workload and starts in January 2026.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in material control activities on a construction site, specifically for the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Technical skills in QC for various types of equipment and items.
  • Familiarity with international certifications is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute inspection and QC activities on incoming materials and equipment.
  • Analyse Purchase Orders and Project Specifications for accuracy.
  • Carry out visual checks on materials verifying integrity and correct marking.
  • Prepare Material Receipt Reports and liaise with clients about received materials.
  • Ensure compliance with QC Plans and Inspection Test Plans.

Job description

As Material QC Inspector, you will report to the Quality Control manager. You will be part of our ENI Liverpool Bay Project (Decommissioning & Carbon Capture and Storage) in Talacre. You will execute the specific inspections on material, instrumentation and equipment received onsite in accordance with the QC Plan and project needs.

Responsibilities
  • Execute the inspection and QC activities on all incoming materials and equipment collecting the relevant records to ensure they are correctly received, stored, preserved and handled.
  • Analyse the Purchase Order and Project Specifications (visual and dimensional control) to verify that the supply is accurate with the needs.
  • Carry out the visual checks on the materials delivered to the operating site, verifying the integrity of the supply and the correct marking of the items.
  • Prepare MRR /MIR and liaise with the client to let them know about the received material.
  • Ensure that management of inspections, material certifications and quality records during construction and erection work are executed in accordance with the Codes and Standards, and Subsidiaries procedures, QC Plans/Inspection Test Plans.
  • Orderly collect and manage/check documents certifying test, controls and inspection documents, ensuring that all material and testing related records are properly retrievable within the final As- Built dossier.
  • Issue the relevant Inspection Material Reports and/or Receiving Inspection Reports, Non-Conformity Reports.
  • In Case of subcontractor activities, ensure the correct implementation of the approved Quality Control Plans/ Inspection Test Plans.
  • Test Plans, witnessing material inspection and collecting relevant Quality Control record.
What are we looking for?

  • Technical skills: QC for structural/mechanical/civil/electrical equipment and items; International certifications.
  • IT skills: MS365, Excel.
