Job Overview

Job Title: Material Accountant / Warehouse Operator

Location: Ashchurch, Gloucestershire

Compensation: £26, + Benefits

Role Type: Full time / Permanent

The role

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be at the heart of our supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, inspection, storage, and issue of materials that keep our defence projects running. This is a hands‑on role where accuracy and attention to detail matter.

Day‑to‑day, you’ll help maintain operational readiness and support the delivery of critical equipment to our customers, making a real difference to national security while developing your skills in a dynamic environment.

  • Actioning the receipt of consignments within the Goods Inward Department using MJDI
  • Checking consignments in line with Defence Logistics Framework (DLF) policies
  • Managing material requirements for Equipment Support and General Support Materiel
  • Operating Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) safely and efficiently
  • Supporting accurate storage and issue processes to meet customer requirements

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Ashchurch.

Essential experience
  • Trained in the use of Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE)
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (preferred)
  • Ability to work accurately and follow compliance procedures
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
