Candidate Description
We are looking for a Marketing Executive to support our fast‑paced commercial team, providing assistance to the Sales, Product, and Marketing departments across a variety of administrative tasks and projects. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will have experience working in a busy marketing department and be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously. You are an energetic problem‑solver who enjoys working in a team. You have a strong can‑do attitude and a flexible, hands‑on approach to your work.
Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Marketing Executive located in Telford, with flexibility available for the right candidate.
Office Management
- Organise internal and external sales and marketing supplier meetings (e.g. booking rooms, arranging catering and refreshments).
- Ensure adherence to company cleanliness and tidiness policies in collaboration with Product Managers and the marketing team.
Sales Team Support
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of marketing collateral for customer meetings.
- Support sales presentations, collate samples, and prepare the boardroom and showroom with appropriate merchandising displays.
Design Team Support
- Assist the design team with ad‑hoc internal photography requests and preparation for lifestyle/product shoots.
- Perform basic image editing, labelling, and management of asset libraries.
- Obtain print quotes and support other ad‑hoc creative tasks such as posters, leaflets and infographics.
- Contribute to the review and quality assurance of brochures, artwork, and other creative outputs.
Product Management Support
- Provide support to Product Managers with product and range launches including the production of planograms.
Social Media Support
- Assist in the scheduling of planned and ad‑hoc social media posts via Meta.
- Assist with creation of internal and external email newsletters using Mailchimp.
- Maintain and report on the database, evolving content as needed.
Corporate Website Maintenance
- Support the Marketing Manager in developing a new corporate website using the Group CMS tool.
- Coordinate uploads of campaign blogs and new marketing collateral, liaising with Group Services as required.
Trade Marketing Support
- Manage the upkeep of Pixsell sales software, including loading new promotions and product images.
- Create content and distribute regular sales newsletters to the trade database via Mailchimp eDM software.
- Maintain and report on the database, evolving content as needed.
Events & Exhibitions
- Assist with administrative tasks for company events and exhibitions (e.g., Crufts, PATS, Interzoo, Zoomark).
- Book event resources, travel, and accommodation.
- Support the Marketing Manager and Product Managers with product and stand coordination.
Charity & Internal Communications
- Support the charity committee and senior leadership team with marketing collateral and administrative tasks.
- Assist in improving internal communication and fostering company culture.
Required Experience and Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experience with InDesign is an advantage, but training can be given.
- Familiarity with Adobe Lightroom, Bridge, and Dimension is beneficial, but training can be provided.
- A passion for pets is advantageous.
