Marketing Assistant and Ambulance Care Attendant (ACA)

THE EMPLOYER IS: SALUS MEDICAL LTDThis dual-role position combines Marketing responsibilities with non-emergency patient transport support. The successful candidate will support the promotion of Salus Medical Ltd’s training services, ambulance services, and community healthcare initiatives.The role involves creating digital content, managing social media channels, assisting with marketing campaigns, and helping to increase brand awareness across Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will work closely with the HR/Marketing team to deliver engaging communications that promote training courses, events, and company services.Supporting the care and safe transport of patients as an Ambulance Care Attendant (ACA).This role offers hands-on experience in both marketing and pre-hospital care.

Responsibilities
  • Marketing - Support the creation of digital content, including social media posts, videos, graphics, and course promotions.
  • Marketing - Assist in managing company social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Marketing - Help maintain and update the company website and online training course listings.
  • Marketing - Create marketing materials such as posters, brochures, and email newsletters.
  • Marketing - Assist in planning and promoting community engagement activities and events.
  • Marketing - Monitor marketing analytics and report on campaign performance.
  • Marketing - Support the organisation in promoting first aid courses, ambulance services, and employability programmes.
  • Marketing - Carry out general administrative duties related to marketing and communications.
  • ACA - Assist in the safe transfer, movement, and care of patients during non-emergency transport.
  • ACA - Support the senior crew member with patient handling, communication, and comfort.
  • ACA - Ensure vehicles are cleaned, restocked, and prepared for operational duties.
  • ACA - Complete all required documentation, including patient records and journey logs.
  • ACA - Follow all company protocols relating to infection control, safeguarding, and patient confidentiality.
  • ACA - Represent Salus Medical Ltd professionally while providing compassionate and respectful care.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in marketing, communications or a related role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing.
  • Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
  • Experience using Canva, Photoshop, or other design tools.
  • Experience with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite).
  • Basic knowledge of website editing (WordPress or similar).
  • Photography or video editing skills.
  • Previous experience in a marketing or administrative role.
  • Level 3 First Response in Emergency Care Certificate
