Overview

Thrive Bolton are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to work within the public areas, supporting public enquiries and maintaining a high level of cleanliness.

Responsibilities
  • To sweep, mop & clean floors & surfaces, clean windows, clean public & trader toilets, operate mechanical scrubbing/sweeping machines, including "sit on" machinery, and high pressure washers or steam cleaners in order to clean the Market & Bus Station.
  • You will also be required to help keep the Food Court clean & tidy during busy times. Clearing & wiping tables & mopping/sweeping the floor as necessary.
  • Some duties will involve cleaning in awkward spaces or at height by use of a platform lift.
  • To collect and porter markets waste and operate waste compaction equipment, separate cardboard or other materials, for recycling and use mechanical lifting and other equipment essential for undertaking these tasks.
  • To carry out basic labouring duties and operate the electrical/mechanical equipment necessary for the efficient maintenance and servicing of the Market & Bus Station.
  • To be a first point of contact for customer and trader needs around the Market and to assist where possible.
  • To be pro-active regarding litter picking, rubbish removal and sweeping duties during Market open hours.
Hours

Hours will be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday (Tuesday and Sunday being the days off).

Pay

Hourly rate is £13.26.
