Job description
Apprenticeship – Small Commercial Vessel Crew Member

Employer – King's Lynn Conservancy Board.

This is a Level 3 apprenticeship that is delivered over 2 years. Significant periods working on board Port Authority vessels, in combination with off the job training will be required. Small Commercial Vessel Crewmembers are often part of a 2-3 person team, working on a wide variety of specialist vessels ranging from tugs and workboats to fast pilot boats and crew transfer vessels taking personnel out to vessels or installations offshore. Workboats operate in varying marine environments, providing a range of services within ports or inland waterways, including surveys and towage, support vessel operations and wreck removal.

The Small Commercial Vessel Crewmember Apprentice program incorporates all aspects of the Small Commercial Vessel Crewmember Apprenticeship Standard and additional RYA/MCA qualifications over two years.
