Manufacturing Engineer - Production

We're partnering with a well‑established engineering organisation that is driving innovation across a diverse portfolio of projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join a collaborative team and make a real impact on production quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

The Role
  • Develop and optimise Methods of Manufacture (MOM) for new and existing products
  • Drive improvements in quality and lead‑time through proactive process optimisation
  • Assess new technologies and contribute to a strategic capability acquisition plan
  • Resolve non‑conformances and eliminate root causes using structured problem‑solving tools
  • Apply quality management techniques such as PFMEA, SPC, and MSA
  • Collaborate closely with technicians and project teams to enhance production processes
  • Create training packs and define best practices to support continuous improvement
About You
  • A relevant Engineering degree and at least 5 years' manufacturing experience
  • Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative mindset
  • Confidence in analysing performance data and producing clear, actionable reports
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively in a fast‑paced environment
Desirable Extras
  • Lean manufacturing experience (Green Belt or higher)
  • Familiarity with structured problem‑solving (8D)
  • Experience within the rail industry
