Job summary

A leading talent acquisition consultancy is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a 12-month contract position based in Bolton. The role involves working with a market-leading defence and Aerospace company. Ideal candidates will possess a formal technical apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 or higher, along with experience in SAP and the ability to manage various engineering tasks including configuration control and problem resolution during manufacturing processes. Competitive pay of £35ph Inside IR35 is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in key engineering tasks: updating Manufacturing Instructions and design tooling.
• Proficiency with SAP to support Non-Conformance Processes.
• Technical aptitude to manage Configuration Control.

Responsibilities

• Compile and update manufacturing instructions.
• Design and commission associated tooling.
• Support industrial validation through FMEA's.
• Resolve technical manufacturing problems.
• Manage configuration control and rework activities.

Skills

SAP experience

Ability to interpret Design Drawings

Experience in Electronic subassembly manufacture

Knowledge of small Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems

Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship

12 Month Contract

Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer?

As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. They are always looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry.

You will be involved in:

• Compilation and update of Manufacturing Instructions.
• Design, Commissioning, and proving of associated tooling.
• Support the industrial validation process through the use of FMEA's, FAI's etc.
• Resolution of technical problems that may arise during the manufacturing process.
• Route card changes as a result or rework activities.
• Management of Configuration Control by the embodiment of Design Modifications into the Manufacturing Instructions.
• Support to the Non-Conformance Process using SAP.

Your skillset may include:

• Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21, with a Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject
• SAP experience
• The ability to interpret Design Drawings with a view to producing Manufacturing Build Instructions
• Experience in Electronic subassembly manufacture through to System level builds
• Experience and knowledge of the assembly process for small/miniature Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems
• Manual handling training.
• ESD training.
