Responsibilities
  • Safely setting and operating manual lathes to manufacture components
  • Performing manual turning on a lathe to produce precision parts
  • Working from drawings, SOPs and process control documents
  • Performing in-process checks and self-inspection
  • Raising tooling, material or process issues to the team lead
  • Supporting product and procedure development through CI programmes
Experience
  • Experience of setting manual lathe machines (essential)
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (essential)
  • Ability to read manufacturing drawings (essential)
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry
  • NVQ Level 2 in Performing Manufacturing Operations or equivalent (desirable)
  • Experience working to tight tolerances (desirable)
