Manual Machinist

📍 Location: Sheffield
📍 Permanent - 40 hours per week (Days & Nights)
⏰ Hours:
Days: 06:00-14:30
Nights: Mon-Thu 18:00-04:00

Teleios is supporting the recruitment of a Manual Machinist to join a well-established machine shop. This role is ideal for an experienced machinist who can work to high precision standards and manufacture components that meet strict customer and quality specifications.

About You

Your ideal candidate will be a skilled manual machinist with strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. A proactive attitude, strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to change will help them succeed in this role.

Essential Experience
  • Experience operating manual lathes
  • Ability to manufacture components from engineering drawings
  • Strong understanding of tooling applications, feeds, speeds and machine tool capability
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and produce parts within estimated production times
  • Strong housekeeping and commitment to safe working practices
  • Competent interpreting detailed technical drawings
Desired Experience
  • Experience machining high-grade materials such as Inconel 718
  • Previous work within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to quality-controlled or highly regulated machining processes
  • Problem-solving ability and adaptability to changing workloads
