Overview

An International Integrated Energy Corporation is seeking an experienced Mandarin-Speaking Financial Accountant to join its UK team. You will be responsible for full-cycle accounting operations, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with both local and group accounting standards. This role requires fluency in both English and Chinese, and strong experience with IFRS and CAS.

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct daily accounting operations including voucher review, journal entry preparation, and record accuracy checks
• Reconcile general ledger accounts with subsidiary ledgers and manage AR/AP accounts, bank reconciliations, and variance resolution
• Oversee fixed asset accounting: depreciation, asset register updates, and disposals
• Assist in month-end closing and prepare data for financial reporting
• Compile financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) in accordance with local and group standards (CAS, IFRS)
• Participate in compliance efforts and audits, responding to findings and ensuring ongoing adherence to regulations
• Optimize usage of ERP or financial systems to enhance automation and efficiency
• Liaise with head office teams in China to align financial practices and reporting
• Carry out other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or audit
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Chinese accounting standards (CAS), with experience in compliance and internal controls
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certifications preferred (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA)
• Fluent in both English and Chinese (written and verbal)
• Proficient in financial software and ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills
