We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of

Manager, CIB Sustainable Finance and Transition (SF&T).

In this role, you will:
  • Support the commercialization of the Sustainable Finance & Transition strategy, including but not limited to:
    • Prioritization initiatives around clients, and coordination / assignment of client names to SF&T originators
    • SF&T participation into client planning process, and developing sustainability/SF&T component of the client plan, together with Sales enablement colleagues
    • Drive alignment on risk framework and appetite across key sectors
  • Support Portfolio Steering capability deployment, to deliver against our net-zero commitments (incl FE / Coal / NZ50)
  • Support portfolio management and transaction decisioning processes, considering and maximizing revenue and returns within the constraints of climate related performance and risks
  • Identify and prioritise commercial opportunities across the strategic drivers (NTB and ETB) and establish a process to execute, in partnership with regional sales teams.
  • Establish financial profile baseline / goals, scorecards and performance dashboard, together with Sales enablement colleagues.
  • Work with Sales enablement to enable the commercialisation of content and thought leadership – including client plan tear sheets, pitch books, case studies, and market & sector insights – to support C-suite dialogue and business development.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to understand the external landscape; Inform product & proposition development.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
  • Understanding of the Group and CIB business
  • Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of banking products and services. Frontline / Banking experience is essential.
  • Experience in informing and commercialising product and proposition development.
  • Knowledge of and experience in sustainability or sustainable finance preferred, not mandatory
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at senior levels of management
  • Comfortable managing a range of initiatives and objectives, interacting with multiple teams and stakeholders of different levels, cultures, and operating models
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, adapting to changing priorities, working in a dynamic environment and getting things done. Navigation and tenacity to manage multiple demands at any given time

This is a hybrid role based in London.
