This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and capable management accountant to bring strong management accounting skills who wants to develop further while making a tangible impact in the day-to-day running of a busy finance team.

We are looking for someone with proven skills who can confidently take ownership of their portfolio and ensure the smooth delivery of our core financial activities.

About the Role

The role is based in the Finance Business Partnering Team / Financial Reporting Team, where the role holder will provide comprehensive day-to-day support to the Finance Business Partnering team in the financial management of the relevant area. This includes responsibility for the preparation of management accounts and associated financial reports. The variety of the work will give you excellent exposure and the opportunity to develop your skills across the University.

What we will need from you
  • Part Qualified Accountant qualifications
  • Ability to apply analytical skills and provide financial insight beyond the traditional functions of finance and to bring them to bear on a broad range of organisational issues.
  • Excellent financial project management and time management skills as well as creative thinking, are essential for this role.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in managing and delivering financial project objectives.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • A keen team player with strong technical skills within management accounting and analysis.
  • Results-oriented and focused on delivering on time with accuracy.

Additional Information

Salary: £37,694 - £41,064 - Grade 5 pro rata
