Job description

Are you a proactive and detail-driven Management Accountant looking to make an impact in a fast-paced, multi-site environment? Do you thrive on delivering accurate financial insight, improving processes, and supporting business performance?

Responsibilities
  • Month-End Ownership: Deliver accurate month-end reporting, including P&Ls, accruals, prepayments, and journals across several BRG brands.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly management accounts with commentary, ensuring strong accuracy and clear insights.
  • Variance Analysis: Carry out detailed budget vs actual analysis, identifying key drivers and providing meaningful recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Business Partnering: Work closely with Operations, Commercial Finance, and central teams to provide financial guidance, challenge assumptions, and support business growth.
  • Balance Sheet Integrity: Complete robust balance sheet reconciliations, identifying risks and opportunities and maintaining compliance.
  • Process Improvement: Identify ways to streamline financial processes, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance efficiency across the team.
  • Cost & Overheads Management: Support the management of overhead budgets, helping stakeholders maintain cost control and visibility.
  • Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of audit files and liaise with auditors to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with your two team members to ensure tasks are shared effectively and deadlines are met, supporting a high-performance culture.
Qualifications
  • Part-Qualified or Qualified Accountant: ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent, with solid management accounting experience (hospitality, retail, or multi-site experience desirable).
  • Analytically Strong: Comfortable working with large data sets, spotting anomalies, and explaining key trends clearly.
  • Commercially Aware: Able to translate numbers into operational insights and influence decision-making at various levels.
  • Proactive & Curious: Seeks ways to improve processes, increase efficiency, and add value through better reporting.
  • Collaborative: Team player with strong interpersonal skills and confidence to work with stakeholders across the business.
  • Organised & Detail-Focused: Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Clear, concise, and confident in presenting financial information to non-financial teams.
