Job summary

A leading entertainment industry supplier is looking for a Management Accountant to join their Finance Team for up to 6 months. This role is vital for providing financial data analysis to inform business decisions, preparing essential P&L and Balance Sheet reports, and managing month-end processes. The candidate will also oversee supplier payments and contribute to reducing business costs. A background in Sage 200 and strong analytical skills are essential for success in this position.

About You & the Role:

Neg Earth Lights have an opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our Finance Team for up to 6 months.

The purpose of this role within our small Finance Team involves the provision, and analysis, of financial data and reports to make informed business decisions. Preparation, commentary and review around the P&L and Balance Sheet to ensure that all financial information is accurately processed; to include crew invoices and the crew payment run. Additionally, month‑end accruals, pre‑payments and journal posting to be completed with a full sense of detail. Quarterly tasks related to Aged Creditors, draft bank reports and closing of all ledgers fall within the responsibilities of this role.

Your Duties:

You will play an essential part in the company success story by efficiently and effectively carrying out duties including:

  • Supervising monthly postings of Purchase Invoices and completing Purchase Cycle for accurate Supplier Payments
  • Ownership of completing monthly Crew Cycle.
  • Preparing monthly Management Accounts (including NL review, Accruals and Prepayments) and other financial reports as required.
  • Presenting reports to senior management to support business decision making.
  • Compiling strategies that will reduce business costs.
  • Developing and overseeing financial systems and procedures and identifying opportunities to improve these.
  • Analysing and managing risk within the business.
