This hybrid role involves delivering accurate management accounts, driving efficiencies, and mentoring junior team members. Superb opportunity for a part-qualified or finalist level management accountant to work with a Big 4 trained manager. You will also work closely with the head of finance as well as head of FP&A in a bid to deliver accurate, insightful financial information that supports decision-making across the business.

The role of management accountant is offered on a hybrid basis and will be responsible for driving efficiencies, mentoring more junior members of the team and creating strong cross-functional relationships. Key responsibilities will involve;

  • Deliver accurate monthly management accounts with clear commentary, highlighting key trends and variances for senior stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, ensuring compliance and transparency.
  • Assist in monitoring working capital, providing insights to optimise liquidity and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of sales, margins, and overheads across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the FP&A Manager in preparing annual budgets and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Partner with merchandising, supply chain, and marketing teams to provide financial insights for pricing, promotions, and inventory management.
  • Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and ERP systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Suitable applicants will be have significant management accounting experience to date, ideally in a product led business. Confident user of MS Excel and familiar with ERP systems. Strong communication/business partnering skills and skills combined with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
