Overview

SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant on behalf of a well established business based in Lutterworth.

This role is ideal for someone who has completed their AAT qualification and is looking to build on their skills in a commercial finance environment. The Management Accountant will play a key part in providing accurate financial information, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and assisting with the preparation of management accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis.
  • Prepare journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with cash flow forecasting.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide commentary on variances.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Assist with cost analysis, overhead allocation, and profitability reporting.
  • Work closely with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
  • Continuously improve processes and contribute to system efficiencies.
Qualifications
  • AAT qualified (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a finance role, preferably within management accounting.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
  • Experience using accounting systems (Dynamics 365 desirable).
  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance staff.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to meet deadlines.

Preferred
