Job summary

A global engineering leader is seeking a Management Accountant to join their team in Huddersfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing month end account reconciliations, supporting year-end processes, and leading financial improvement initiatives. With an annual salary between £53,000 to £58,000, this position offers flexible working hours, hybrid work options, and generous annual leave. Ideal candidates will have experience in a manufacturing setting, proficiency in ERP systems, particularly SAP, and qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar role within a Manufacturing environment.
• Strong working experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Skilled user of Microsoft programmes, particularly Excel.

Job description

The successful Management Accountant will be easily able to commute to HUDDERSFIELD from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce month end account reconciliations for profit and loss and balance sheet accounts
• Support year end processes working with external auditors and tax advisors to provide information
• Work alongside Project Accountants to produce long term contract forecasts
• Lead business process improvement, cost reduction workshop and financial training initiatives with various stakeholders
• Support in the production of annual budgets and forward forecasts
• Process and reconcile employee expenses and petty cash on a monthly basis
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns

Qualifications

• Experience as a Management Account or similar within a Manufacturing environment
• Strong working experience with ERP systems (SAP preferable)
• Skilled user of Microsoft programmes (Excel in particular)
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified or part-qualified

• Annual salary between £53,000 to £58,000 depending on experience

• 1-2 days per week hybrid
• Monday to Friday
• 37.5 hours per week
• 25 Days annual leave + Bank holidays
