Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
  • Strong analytical skills backed by advanced Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end reporting and ensure proper cost accounting.
  • Lead financial account review meetings, providing insights.

Are you ready to rethink your routine? We’re looking for a qualified Management Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting into our Senior Finance Manager, you will be key to ensuring the integrity of our financial controls while driving the evolution of our internal systems. You will take full ownership of the month-end cycle and balance sheet reconciliations, acting as a vital bridge between finance and the wider business to provide the high-level analysis and ERP expertise needed to scale our operations effectively.

The Role

Your daily to-dos might look like this:

  • Month end reporting; posting of bank transactions, accruals, prepayments and any additional month end adjustments. Leading month end review meetings with the tech team and consultants to ensure all costs are captured in the correct period
  • Key role in the finance month end accounts review meetings of the management accounts pack, providing insights into costs and variance analysis to budget
  • Preparation and maintenance of balance sheet reconciliations eg. Bank reconciliations, stock, accruals and prepayments
  • Assist with the interim audit and year-end statutory audit, providing requested information, reconciliations and analysis and responding to auditor queries
  • ERP optimisation, working with our outsourced tech team to ensure that data flows are working correctly within NetSuite, troubleshooting issues and finding ways to use the ERP more effectively to pull detailed reports and analysis
  • Debt facility management; weekly reporting to our private equity debt-partner
  • Ad-hoc inventory appraisal requests
  • Working with the ops and commercial team to ensure that wholesale invoices are raised and sent to wholesale partners in a timely manner and keeping on top of payments
  • Assist with order to cash reconciliation and weekly payment run
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting and project assignments as required
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Work with the finance team and wider business to promote continuous improvement and make suggestions for internal process development

These skills will help you go far in this role:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with PQE
  • Experience with NetSuite (preferable) or comparable ERP system
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills. A problem solver with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience within SME in a hybrid e-commerce and retail business
  • Strong organisational and teamworking skills
