Job summary

A leading environmental services company in the United Kingdom is seeking a Management Accountant to provide financial support for Heat Networks contracts. You'll be responsible for month-end reporting, budget preparation, and working closely with finance and operations teams. The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with experience in a similar role. Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Hybrid - Aldermaston (RG7 8UA) or Kingswood (WS11 8JP)

What you'll be doing:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the IWE South finance team during a period of significant growth and transformation. As Management Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting the new and existing contracts within the Heat Networks portfolio, closely with the operation and finance stakeholders.

As you develop in the role, you'll expand your remit across the wider IWE South business units, supporting month‑end management accounting, budgets, forecasts, and investment papers. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to gain broad commercial finance experience whilst contributing to meaningful business change.

  • Provide management accounting support for all Heat Networks contracts within the business unit, including month‑end reporting and analysis
  • Submit consolidated results into Workday ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
  • Responsible for one direct report, trainee accountant
  • Review and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Complete Vector submissions in line with business requirements
  • Preparation of budgets, forecasts and reforecasts across the business
  • Support the development of investment papers and business cases
  • Produce ad‑hoc financial analysis and reporting to support commercial decision‑making
  • Lead on project to outsource billing and CRM services for customers
  • Identify and drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and control
  • Build strong working relationships with operational teams and finance colleagues across the business
