Management Accountant
Leicester - Hybrid
Full Time, Permanent

SF Recruitment is thrilled to be partnering with a highly recognisable organisation based in Leicester in their search for a Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner. This role is an excellent opportunity for a finalist or newly qualified accountant seeking the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will bring experience from an FMCG or manufacturing environment and possess strong operational finance expertise. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting business performance and decision‑making.

Management Accounting
  • Prepare daily reports, including labour and material variance analysis.
  • Produce weekly accounts, including purchase price variance (PPV) reporting, material variance analysis, and labour reporting.
  • Perform general ledger duties such as journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly accounts and undertake ad‑hoc financial duties as required.
  • Support product costing and analysis activities for new product development (NPD).
  • Conduct stock analysis, reconciliations, and maintain provisions/write‑offs.
  • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare overhead budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses in collaboration with budget holders for designated departments (including utilities).
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Part‑qualified or newly qualified (AAT / CIMA / ACCA / ACA) with a strong academic background and relevant experience in a finance or management accounting role, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce accurate and timely weekly and monthly accounts.
  • Proficient in IT systems with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience working with ERP systems; familiarity with Microsoft Business Central or similar systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong numerical and analytical capabilities with high attention to detail and accuracy.
