An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join our Accounts team at the Sinclair Group based in our newly built, state‑of‑the‑art showroom in Swansea. You will be part of a team of 7 Finance staff covering 6 JLR sites, with occasional travel to other sites; a company car from the Land Rover range is provided.

Responsibilities
  • A Management Accountant prepares, develops and analyses financial information to allow the organisation to make well‑informed decisions to ensure future stability, profitability and growth.
  • Establishes and maintains financial policies and management information systems and informs management colleagues on all aspects of company finance.
  • Looks ahead, analysing business performance, advising on how to pre–empt problems and adapt to changing circumstances and developments.
  • Improves value in all areas of the business by managing and reducing operational and production costs and implementing the most effective strategies.
  • Produces financial statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries.
  • Assists in the production of the annual budget and periodic forecasting.
  • Provides management reporting for decision-making, including project appraisal, evaluation and post‑implementation analysis.
  • Conducts ongoing review of cash flow and production forecasts.
  • Produces annual statutory accounts in management format.
  • Calculates, presents and pays VAT.
  • Manages capital expenditure.
  • Reports on company assets and liabilities, including balance sheet account reconciliations and review of intangible assets.
  • Ensures compliance with all financial regulations.
  • Manages accounts assistants, providing day‑to‑day communication, motivation, succession planning and performance management.
  • Carries out continuous reviews of working accounting practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost‑effective operations.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Proven technical ability with analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of financial regulation and legislation.
  • Familiarity with modern management information systems.
  • Ability to manage, delegate, motivate, monitor and control a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non‑financial management.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Highly motivated, detail oriented and accurate, competent with Word and Excel, and highly organised with strong time‑management skills.
