Job summary

A recruitment organization in North East England seeks a Major Repairs Surveyor for an ongoing contract role.   • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and promote a culture of safety.
  • Advise on energy efficiency and sustainable construction practices.
  • Resolve complaints and dissatisfaction cases effectively.
  • Use data and management information to shape service delivery.

Major Repairs Surveyor

Location: County Durham
Salary: 30.95 an hour (negotiable)
Contract: Ongoing, temporary basis
Van and fuel card included

We're looking for a Major Repairs Surveyor on an ongoing contract basis. You'll provide technical expertise, coordinate major repairs, and ensure our housing portfolio remains safe, efficient, and sustainable.

Key Responsibilities of the Major Repairs Surveyor:
  • Carry out surveys and diagnose building defects, recommending effective remedial actions.
  • Investigate disrepair claims and provide expert guidance in line with legislation.
  • Prepare reports and statements for legal cases when required.
  • Price repairs accurately using the Schedule of Rates and manage complex works.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and promote a culture of safety.
