Title: Maintenance Technician (Night Shift)

Location: Swindon

Shifts: 10pm - 10am, 3 days on 3 days off

Salary: Circa £45,000 - £50,000 (inclusive of shift allowance) + Benefits Package

We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a critical role where you\'ll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes, helping us to advance the world of health.

Responsibilities
  • As a Maintenance Technician, you\'ll provide both electrical and mechanical support across all areas of production. This includes working in clean rooms and other controlled environments while adhering to strict Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, monitor machine performance, and quickly respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Achieve and maintain production output standards.
  • Maintain and service production machinery.
  • Plan and execute preventative maintenance programs using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Manage machine spare parts inventory.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice on equipment issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Rapidly respond to and troubleshoot machine breakdowns.
  • Monitor and analyze machine performance data.
  • Assist with training activities for other team members.
  • Pre-plan maintenance activities to optimize efficiency.
  • Analyze breakdown frequencies to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Participate in training and risk assessment programs.
Qualifications
  • Background in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Tooling/Plastics processing through a formal apprenticeship, HND, or university degree.
  • Experience in a medium to high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • A strong understanding of high-speed automated assembly processes.
  • Proven skills in problem-solving and fault-finding on manufacturing machines.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office.
