We are currently looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician / Engineer to join our manufacturing team. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of our machinery and supporting equipment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician / Engineer, you will be responsible for both proactive and reactive maintenance across the site, including:

  • Developing and delivering Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults
  • Carrying out predictive maintenance using Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime
  • Maintaining accurate service records, logs, and calibration documentation
  • Working with OEMs and external contractors for specialist repairs
  • Implementing 5S and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices
  • Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Supporting production teams during breakdowns to minimise disruption
  • Ensuring full compliance with PUWER, LOLER, and EHS regulations
  • Managing spares, technical documentation, and equipment manuals
  • Training operators on daily checks and basic maintenance tasks

Essential Skills, Qualifications/Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance role
  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
  • A proactive, “can-do” attitude with flexibility and adaptability
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Desirable Skills, Qualifications/Experience:
  • Experience maintaining CNC or automated machinery (Punch / Press Brake)
  • Knowledge of TPM, PPM systems, and CMMS software
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
  • Good PC skills (Microsoft Word & Excel)
