Job summary

A leading engineering solutions provider in Wednesfield is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a days-based shift pattern (8am - 4:30pm). In this role, you will resolve mechanical and electrical maintenance issues, ensuring minimal breakdowns and disruptions. Candidates should ideally have City and Guilds/BTEC training in an engineering discipline, with essential electrical knowledge for fault finding. This position offers a robust training plan and the opportunity to join a growing manufacturer.

Qualifications

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to work a days-based shift pattern (8am - 4:30pm) for a growing manufacturer located in the West Bromwich Area.

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for efficiently resolving the day-to-day mechanical and electrical maintenance issues in the plant. This will include reacting to breakdowns and carrying out planned preventative maintenance tasks along with fault finding within the mechanical and electrical environment.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all breakdowns are kept to a minimum.
  • Follow best mechanical and electrical engineering practices.
  • Ensure all planned work is completed with minimal disruption to production.
  • Log all work carried out on the maintenance system.
Qualifications

Candidates will ideally be City and Guilds/BTEC trained in an engineering discipline (electrical or mechanical) or be a time-served apprentice. Electrical knowledge for circuitry and fault finding is essential but applications are welcomed from engineers who are biased mechanically or electrically as a robust training plan will be initiated on joining the business.
