We Are Hiring :

Night Shift Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias) – Southampton

Location : Southampton

Circa £43,094 (day shifts during training) → £53,868 (permanent nights)

About the Role

This is a permanent night shift position, with initial day shift training. You will be responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance across a variety of production equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown repairs, with a focus on electrical systems
  • Diagnose and repair faults in electrical, automation, and control systems
  • Support mechanical maintenance when required
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and ensure compliance with safety standards
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong electrical knowledge including control panels, motors, PLCs, and fault finding
  • Ability to assist with mechanical maintenance as needed
  • Willingness to work permanent night shifts after training
  • Flexibility to complete initial training on day shifts
  • Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to safe working practices
