Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Canary Wharf, London
Working Hours: 4 days on, 4 days off, 7am to 7pm
Reports to: Lead Multiskilled Engineer and Account Manager
Salary: £42,200 per annum

About the Role
Equans is seeking a reliable Workplace Technician to support facilities and engineering operations at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Canary Wharf. Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, you will provide non technical support across the site to ensure safe, efficient and high quality service delivery. You will assist with both planned and reactive tasks, contribute to a safe working environment and maintain strong customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Engineering Team with compliance checks, statutory inspections and fabric maintenance
  • Support reactive repairs, FCU tasks, basic engineering activities and water hygiene checks
  • Carry out painting, decorating, small repairs and flat pack assembly
  • Assist with moves and changes, furniture repairs, meeting room setups and event support
  • Install power and data cabling where competent
  • Support deliveries, crate and pallet movements and archiving activities
  • Complete daily site checks, report defects and maintain housekeeping standards
  • Respond to CAFM tasks promptly and follow all SHEQ and safety procedures
Required Experience and Skills
  • Carpentry, building or general building services qualifications
  • Experience with MEP systems and fabric repair techniques
  • Basic electrical understanding or willingness to train
  • Knowledge of L8 requirements or willingness to train
  • Health and safety awareness and strong customer service skills
Desirable Experience and Skills
  • Facilities support or handyman experience
  • Experience in customer focused or corporate environments
  • Familiarity with CAFM systems and compliance processes
