The Opportunity

We're recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, highly respected global manufacturing company based in Birstall. This is an ideal role for someone with strong electrical and mechanical skills who wants a secure, hands-on engineering position with great benefits and ongoing training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Fault-find and maintain PLC / computer-controlled machinery
  • Work on pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Mechanical duties : fitting, welding, pipework, plumbing
  • Support continuous improvement and engineering reliability
  • Ensure safe working practices across the site
Skills & Experience Needed
  • Recognised electrical or mechanical apprenticeship
  • 5+ year\'s engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of PPM, fault finding, and machine maintenance
  • Experience with PLCs, pneumatic, hydraulics, mechanical systems
  • Strong communication & good understanding of Health & Safety
  • Proactive, reliable, and team-focused approach
  • Able to work the following rotating shifts :
  • Week 1: Mon-Thurs 06:00-14:00 | Fri 06:00-12:00
  • Week 2: Mon-Thurs 13:45-21:45 | Fri 11:45-17:45
